Community IT Planning
and Mini Grant Program 2003-2004

On August 29, 2003, Lt. Gov. Dave Heineman announced that six Nebraska communities and regional groups had been awarded $2,500 grants to develop local information technology plans.  The grants were made available by the Nebraska Information Technology Commission (NITC) and Technologies Across Nebraska, a coalition led by the University of Nebraska (NU) Cooperative Extension. Recipients of the $2,500 planning grants are Adams County, Dakota City, Homer, Lexington, Maskell and Valley County.   Read the press release.

Participants in the 2003-2004 are Dakota City, Hastings, Homer, Lexington, Maskell, and Valley County (indicated by the red stars).   Seward joined the program in the spring of 2004.  Participants in the 2002-2003 IT Planning and Mini Grant program are Alliance, Custer County, Crawford-Harrison, Edgar, Fillmore County, Keya Paha/Brown/Rock Counties, and the West Point area (indicated by the blue stars) .
