NHA developing statewide telehealth plan
The Nebraska Hospital Association is developing a statewide telehealth
plan and will present the plan to the Public Service Commission in
April. The Nebraska Information Technology
Commission is providing assistance through the NITC Telehealth
Subcommittee.
IT Planning and Mini Grant Program update:
West Point area addresses broadband
In
northeast Nebraska, West Point and ten surrounding communities are working
to develop individual technology plans and a regional plan.
Participation in the IT planning process has helped community
members organize and effectively communicate their needs with potential
providers.
The West Point area group is currently working with two providers
to deploy fixed broadband wireless in West Point, Oakland, and the
Bancroft/Pender area.

HHSS created a new Website, HIPAA
Online, to help HHSS, consumers, providers and business

The Office of the CIO has signed an agreement with Omni
Tech Corporation to perform an "external intrusion
security assessment" for state government. For more
