-Connected Classroom Conferences
Classroom CONNECT presents a series of regional conferences each year. At Connected Conferences educators learn how to effectively "turbo-charge" the learning environment by supporting the development of 21st Century skills. They do it with hands-on experiences, interactive sessions, and presentations by world-class education and technology leaders. Each 2-day conference begins with a morning keynote address by an expert speaker at the forefront of teaching and technology. General registration entitles attendees to choose from over 60 general sessions over the two days. Regional sites and dates vary.
-Consortium for School Networking (CoSN)
The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) holds its annual conference, K-12 School Networking in Crystal City, Virginia usually in late February or early March. This conference addresses how the Internet and information technologies infrastructure can improve learning in the K-12 classroom.

CSCL (Computer Support for Collaborative Learning) is an international conference usually held in June at various locations around the world. CSCL is sponsored by the International Society for the Learning Sciences (ISLS) and explores opportunities for computer and Internet technology to support collaborative forms of learning and teaching.
-CT Expos
CMP-United Business Media provides the definitive meeting places for computer and internet telephony experts, leading voice and data convergence developers, IS/IT executives, telecom managers, integrators, VARs, distributors, next generation telcos, ISPs, CLECs, network infrastructure buyers, customer care professionals, call center managers, IXCs and wireless carriers. Specific expositions are held at various times of the year at various sites around the country.
-CUMREC
The CUMREC Conference, sponsored by EDUCAUSE, focuses on the innovations and solutions being created in administrative technology to move higher education institutions forward. CUMREC is usually held the second or third week in May each year. Conferences are held at varying sites across the country. CUMREC began in 1956 as the "College and University Machine Records Conference".
-Distance Learning
The University of Wisconsin-Madison sponsors the Annual 3-day Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning in early August. Distance Learning 200X is held at the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Monona Terrace Convention Center in the heart of Madison's downtown on the shores of Lake Monona, Wisconsin.
-Ed Media Annual Conference
Ed-Media, the World Conference on Educational Multimedia, Hypermedia, and Telecommunications is sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education and is normally held for six days during the last week of June at various locations around the world.
-EDUCAUSE
The EDUCAUSE annual conference is normally held in October at various hosted sites around the United States. EDUCAUSE is an international, nonprofit association whose mission is to help shape and enable transformational change in higher education.
-EDUCAUSE Policy Conference
The EDUCAUSE Policy Conference, formerly the Networking Conference, will bring together leaders from higher education and federal, regional, and state governments to review and evaluate network policy issues, emerging network applications, and the organizational, institutional, and economic opportunities posed by federal government, public, and private sector network development efforts. This Conference is normally held in April or May in Washington, D.C.
-E-Learn Conference
The E-Learn Conference focuses on E-Learning in Corporate, Government, Healthcare, and Higher Education. Normally held the first week of November each year, the location rotates among invited sites in the U.S. and abroad. E-Learn is sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE).
- A Gathering of State Networks
The Gathering of State Networks (G0SN) annual conference allows state networking leaders with an opportunity to share perspectives on the current status of state networks, to get information on the various models and approaches being employed throughout the states, and to discuss common challenges and opportunities. The conference is typically held the first week in February in Tempe, Arizona. The Gathering is jointly sponsored by EDUCAUSE, Net@EDU, and CoSN.
-ICALT
The IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT) brings together researchers, academics and industry practitioners who are involved or interested in the design and development of advanced and emerging learning technologies. ICALT is normally held in late August-early September at various hosted sites around the world.
-ICCE/ICCAI
The International Conference on Computers in Education/International Conference on Computer-Assisted Instruction is sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Computers in Education and is held in November or December each year. It promises to bring together public and private leaders and policy makers, scholars, school principals, teachers, organizational development professionals from around the world and particularly from the Asia-Pacific region to share information, resources and methods, best educational practices, and develop a deeper understanding of the fundamental issues relating to the implementation and integration of ICT in education.
-InfoTec
InfoTec, the Information Technology Conference and Exposition, is sponsored by the Ak-Sar-Ben Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals, and is typically held the third week in April in Omaha, Nebraska at the Holiday Inn Convention Center. The Infotec conference provides a forum for exhibitors, educators, entrepreneurs, business managers and IT professionals to interact and exchange ideas and to develop business opportunities and learn the latest in information technology.
- International Symposium on Technology and Society
The International Symposium on Technology and Society is normally held in June. The goal of ISTAS is to bring together Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professionals, computer science and engineering educators, teachers and scholars in the humanities and social sciences, policymakers, students, and ICT users for the purpose of establishing critical dialogue on the social and ethical dimensions of ICT. -Midwest Internet Institute
The Midwest Internet Institute is normally held in late July in Lincoln, Nebraska and is specifically dedicated to the use of the Internet in the advancement of teaching and learning. MII is sponsored by the Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA), the Nebraska Department of Education, Nebraska Educational Service Units, the University of Nebraska-Omaha Office of Internet Studies, and hosted by the Lincoln Public Schools.
-Museums and the Web
Archives & Museum Informatics (A&MI) sponsors the International Museums and the Web Conference which is normally held in March or April at invited locations in the United States and Canada.
-National Center for Educational Statistics Forum and Conference
The NCES Forum and Management Information Systems Conference is normally held in late February at invited locations across the United States. This is a conference of Elementary and Secondary Education Data Users and Providers. The audience will include individuals from state education agencies, local education agencies (LEAs), schools, interested researchers and policymakers, and federal representatives.
-National Educational Computing Conference
NECC is the annual conference sponsored by the International Society for Technology in Education. It is normally held around the third week of June in varying sites around the United States. Through hands-on and discussion-based workshops, lectures and interactive sessions, discussions with key industry speakers, and the largest vendor exhibition of its kind, NECC offers participants the unique opportunity to discover and share what they need to develop the appropriate use of technology in their classrooms, districts, and universities.
-National Learning Infrastructure Initiative
The National Learning Infrastructure Initiative is a membership coalition of institutions and organizations sponsored by EDUCAUSE. Its mission is to create new collegiate learning environments that harness the power of information technology to improve the quality of teaching and learning, contain or reduce rising costs, and provide greater access to American higher education. The NLII annual Meeting is normally held in late January in a southern U.S. location.
-NDLA Summit
The Nebraska Distance Learning Association annual conference is normally held in late May or early June each year at invited sites around the State.
-NEMA, NLA Annual Conference
The Nebraska Library Association and the Nebraska Educational Media Association hold their annual conference the third week in October each year.
-NETA Conference
The Nebraska Educational Technology Association Annual Conference is always held the last Thursday and Friday of April at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The event annually attracts over 2000 educators.
-SITE Conference
The Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education International Conference is a six-day event sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) and is normally held the first week of March each year. This society represents individual teacher educators and affiliated organizations of teacher educators in all disciplines, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education and faculty/staff development. SITE is a society of AACE.
-Syllabus Fall Conference

The Syllabus Annual conference, sponsored by 101 Communications, Inc., is normally held in July each year. The Syllabus conference encompasses the entire spectrum of technology use in higher education, attracting attendees from all levels of higher education.
-Technology + Learning2 Conference
The T+L2 Conference is recognized as the premier national event for decision makers who choose and use technology in schools. It is hosted by the National School Boards Association’s ITTE: Education Technology Programs and co-sponsored by nearly 30 leading education organizations. The T+L2 Conference is normally held at the end of October each year. This unique conference is designed to highlight the many effective ways to improve school performance and student achievement through the wise use of technology in both instructional and administrative arenas.
